Second Register of Property Acts in the city of Grenade, 16th century.
Owner: Municipal Archives of Grenade, Spain.
This document is a large in-folio bound in calf leather and sewn on four double nerves of leather. The boards are softly decorated with blind gold tooling. The body of the book is composed by 379 pages of handmade laid paper. The treatment is mainly focused on the bookbinding, especially the spine which is heavily weakened. The body of the book and the boards are conserved and re-attached together. The lack of material is infilled respecting methods, products and rules of conservation. At the end, a conservation box is made to the measure of the artefact in order to protect it while stored and moved.
