Setting up with the 16 Ter, the conservation center in Nantes

The Atelier DeLibro is from now on set up in Nantes, more especially in the heart of the Ile de Nantes, where a lot of creative and artistic activities take place. Collaboration with the Tairawhiti Museum in Gisborne, NZ

The Tairawhiti Museum is a regional museum with a sizable collection of Fine Arts, ceramics, social history objects, photographic and documentary archives the majority of which were donated by the inhabitants of the Poverty Bay region. During the process of moving and the re-housing, the Museum staff identified the necessity of undertaking conservation treatment on one of their most iconic and highly significant objects.

Fourth Register of Property Acts in the city of Grenade, 16th century

In november 2014, back from the Antarctic, Aline came back to Grenade where she collaborated again with the Archives of the city. The in-folio mayor that she is conserving for them is the Fourth Register of Property Acts from the 16th century. High format and heavy item, the challenge on this document was mainly to re-create the cover binding.

Conserving in the Antarctic, the collaboration with Antarctic Heritage Trust

From January to August 2014, Aline worked for Antarctic Heritage Trust (NZ) , based in their conservation lab at New Zealand’s Scott Base on Ross Island, Antarctica. Since 2005, the Antarctic Heritage Trust has had a year-round on-ice cold climate conservation project to conserve the heroic era (1895-1917) expedition bases associated with Scott and Shackleton.

In november 2011, DeLibro animated a workshop about the Introduction to the book and paper conservation in Archives and Libraries. The course took place in the Archives of the San Carlos University in Guatemala City.

Training on Photography Conservation, Fundación Televisa, Mexico

 

The training took place at the conservation studio at the Fundación Televisa in Mexico City, managed by Fernando Osorio. The staff was composed by two conservators, a person in charge of database and communication, and an image technician for the digitalization of the documents.
